Crypto asset regulation from CMB... Minister ลimลek: We have brought a new tool to the markets
Following the law on the crypto asset market, the Capital Markets Board (CMB) has prepared secondary regulations in this area and regulated the principles and fundamentals for the storage and transfer of crypto assets. Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet ลimลek said, "In terms of our country's financial markets, we have brought a new tool to the markets in terms of financial instrument diversity and the development of the fintech ecosystem in parallel with global markets."
According to the information compiled by the AA correspondent, many countries in the world have accelerated the regulations for crypto asset service providers.
In this context, the "Crypto Asset Market Regulation" prepared in the European Union (EU) is expected to enter into force in July 2026 after the transition period. In the UK, it is also aimed for all aspects of the regulation in this area to enter into force in 2026. Countries such as Japan and Singapore have also determined their principles for crypto asset service providers.
In Turkey, the "Law on Amendments to the Capital Markets Law" for the crypto asset ecosystem was accepted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly General Assembly on June 26, 2024 and became law. Thus, the first legal framework for crypto assets was created in Turkey
