Microsoft founder Bill Gates shared his vision for the future of artificial intelligence (AI) in a blog post, predicting significant changes in the use of computer technology. Gates claims that soon every Internet user will have a personal assistant based on AI, which will be much more advanced than modern technology. These “agents,” as Gates calls them, are able to perform tasks based on knowledge about the user. They will be able to anticipate human needs, proactively propose solutions, and improve over time by remembering actions and recognizing user intentions.
Gates also notes that agents will bring a revolution to the software industry, comparable to the transition from the command line to a graphical interface. According to him, AI has an impact on many areas of life, including healthcare, education, entertainment and everyday productivity.
Gates believes that agents will become a new platform in the computer industry, capable of helping in any activity and area of life.
