Data released by the United States yesterday showed:
The U.S. CPI annual rate in October was 3.2%, lower than the expected value of 3.30% and lower than the previous 3.70%
The U.S. core CPI annual rate in October was 4%, lower than the expected value of 4.10% and lower than the previous value of 4.10%!
The non-seasonally adjusted core CPI annual rate in October was 4%, a new low since September 2021; the overall CPI annual rate in October was 3.2%, a new low since July this year. Among them, the overall CPI monthly rate in October was 0%, which was 0.4% lower than the previous value; the core CPI monthly rate was 0.2%, which was 0.3% lower than the previous value!
After the data was released, traders changed their views on the possibility of further interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve and increased their bets on a rate cut in 2024!
