In the United States, Switzerland, Japan and Panama, legislation partially regulates the use of Bitcoin. And El Salvador in 2021 became the first country in the world to recognize Bitcoin as legal tender. In 2022, the Central African Republic made a similar decision, but a year later canceled it due to high levels of poverty and problems with access to electricity and the Internet.
