Chainlink will open LINK Staking v0.2, and the staking v0.2 pool size will reach 45 million LINK (worth about $650 million), of which 40.875 million LINK will be allocated to the community and the rest to Chainlink node operators. Community members can stake 1-15,000 LINK, and node operators can stake 1,000-75,000 LINK.

Staking provides Chainlink ecosystem participants with the opportunity to earn rewards by staking LINK tokens to support oracle services, increasing security guarantees and user confidence in oracle services. Chainlink Staking was initially launched with the v0.1 release and continues to evolve with the upcoming v0.2 upgrade.

Stakers can earn staking rewards for securing the network by issuing timely and effective alerts, and also receive slashing and loss protection in the future.
