Yuga Labs blacklisted at least four marketplaces that don’t enforce NFT royalties in its latest NFT Drop Sewer Pass. According to Simon Cousaert, data director at The Block Research, the SewerPass included coding that blocked NFT transactions from Blur, SudoSwap, LooksRare, and NFTX wallets. LooksRare and Blur have an optional royalty system, while NFTX and SudoSwap also don’t pay royalties. Yuga Labs’ move is intended to join other NFT creators in preventing platforms that evade royalties from trading their NFTs.
BAYC opened its Sewer Pass mint at 12:30 EST on January 18, with over $1.3 million in trading volume an hour later and nearly $5 million worth of ETH four hours later. (The Block)
