According to Bloomberg, Circle is considering an initial public offering (IPO) in 2024. The company has begun discussing a potential IPO with advisers. According to the report, while it is unclear how much valuation Circle will seek in the IPO, it is reported that it is valued at $9 billion when it attempts to go public through a blank-check transaction in 2022.
In 2021, Circle agreed to go public through a merger with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) called Concord Acquisition Corp., but the arrangement later fell through. A representative said: "Becoming a U.S. public company has always been part of Circle's strategic ambitions. We do not comment on rumors."
Circle’s investors include some of the largest financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, Fidelity and BlackRock.
