The Pi Network roadmap is a three-phase plan for the development and launch of the Pi cryptocurrency. The three phases are Beta, Testnet, and Mainnet.

Beta

The Beta phase began in December 2018 with the public release of the Pi mining app on major app stores. The Pi Whitepaper was published on Pi Day, March 14, 2019, marking the official launch of the Pi Network.

Testnet

The Testnet phase began on March 14, 2020, with the launch of a live Testnet with distributed Nodes from all over the world. This was a critical step in preparation for the transition to a decentralized blockchain. The Pi Testnet and accessible Node software enabled the testing of the blockchain and initiated the decentralized building efforts by the community to create utilities using Test-Pi.

Enclosed Mainnet

The Enclosed Mainnet phase began in December 2021. During this phase, the Mainnet is live but with a firewall that prevents any unwanted external connectivity. Pioneers are able to KYC and migrate their Pi to the live Mainnet blockchain, while the community builds apps and utilities on the Enclosed Mainnet.

Open Mainnet

The Open Mainnet phase will begin once the Enclosed Network ecosystem has matured and the network's KYC has progressed sufficiently. During this phase, the firewall will be removed, allowing external connectivity to other networks, wallets, and anyone who wants to connect to the Pi Mainnet.

Review

The Pi Network roadmap is well-defined and comprehensive. It covers all of the key aspects of developing and launching a cryptocurrency, including:

Technology development: The Pi team has developed a unique consensus algorithm and blockchain architecture that is designed to be scalable, secure, and energy-efficient.

Ecosystem development: The Pi team has focused on building a strong community and ecosystem around the Pi Network. There are now millions of Pioneers using the Pi mining app and developing apps and utilities on the Pi Network.

KYC and compliance: The Pi team is committed to KYC and compliance. They have developed a scalable KYC solution that is currently being rolled out to Pioneers.

The Pi Network roadmap is ambitious, but the team has made significant progress towards achieving their goals. The Pi Testnet is live and the Enclosed Mainnet is up and running. The Pi team is also working on a number of other important initiatives, such as developing the Pi wallet and building the Pi ecosystem.

Overall, the Pi Network roadmap is impressive and shows that the team is serious about building a successful cryptocurrency.
