Odaily Planet Daily News: The City of London Corporation, the Digital Pound Foundation, the Payments Association, TheCityUK and UK Finance announced the formation of an alliance with the goal of developing better policies, practices and regulations around digital currencies. By combining the expertise and extended networks of the five associations, the alliance will seek to provide innovators with a safe and secure environment to promote their development and attract international investment into the UK, while building constructive bridges between new and old players. Earlier, British Financial Services Minister Andrew Griffith said that correctly designing the digital pound is more important than a quick launch, and the UK Treasury will launch a public consultation on the attributes of the digital pound in the coming weeks.
