🤓 UK to regulate stablecoins from 2024
The UK government has published a document on regulating stablecoins.
According to the document, the law is planned to be implemented in 2024. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) will act as the regulator of stablecoins.
It is noteworthy that the government does not plan to regulate algorithmic stablecoins, but does not intend to ban them either. The same requirements will apply to them as to unsecured crypto assets.
