In the cryptocurrency world, it is necessary to be careful, as scams and frauds are quite common. The XRP Coin community has received an important warning from a well-known XRPL developer. This warning concerns a fake token called “Xaman.”

Wietse Wind warned about the Xaman token. According to the information we obtained from Kriptokoin.com, fraudulent events are frequently experienced in the crypto market; therefore, market participants need to be very careful. Finally, a critical warning was made for the XRP Coin community. Xaman is a non-custodial wallet that allows users to interact with the ledger and third-party tools on the XRP Ledger. XRPL developer Wietse Wind stated that there is no official Xaman token and there will not be. Wind said, “There is no Xaman token, there will not be a Xaman token. We will not be involved in fraudulent activities.”

Wind, the founder of Xaman Wallet, formerly known as Xumm, made a statement on the subject. Wind emphasized that he and his team have no connection with the Xaman token. Meanwhile, the token in question is currently traded on First Ledger. Wind emphasized the seriousness of the issue by saying, “We did not issue this,” and called the Xaman token a “fake meme scam coin.” He warned users not to interact with this token.

Scam tokens and fake projects are always a threat to the crypto community. With the XRP Coin ecosystem growing, Wind’s warning highlights the importance of being careful. It is essential for community members to verify information through official channels to protect themselves from potential scams. This becomes even more important as new tokens are constantly appearing on the XRP Ledger.

This month, First Ledger, a new platform that allows users to trade tokens on XRPL, surpassed its 2021 peak in daily trading volume of new tokens on the XRP Ledger. The XRPL dUNL validator and co-founder of xrpcafe issued a warning to the XRP community, saying, “There are a lot of imitators out there. I will never release a meme coin. I will never DM you. Be careful.” Impersonation is not new in this space; scammers impersonating official Xaman Wallet accounts are maliciously trying to obtain personal information from victims.
