Binance has recently reinforced its dedication to stringent security standards by successfully completing a comprehensive System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II compliance audit.

Carried out by an independent third-party assessor, A-LIGN, the audit evaluated Binance's global platform and technology services over several months. The auditor certified that Binance's controls regarding system protection and data security are not only well-designed but also effectively implemented.

The SOC 2 Type II audit, recognized worldwide, is a testament to Binance's commitment to leading the crypto industry in terms of security. As a custodian of users' digital assets and data, the platform understands the need for robust and evolving security protocols. These measures involve stringently managed access, advanced encryption, and resilient incident response protocols, among others.

Jimmy Su, Binance's Chief Security Officer, expressed the need for collective efforts from industry players to change perceptions regarding the crypto industry's nascent understanding. As such, Binance is committing significant resources to demonstrating that crypto platforms can meet and exceed the strict standards set by traditional regulated industries!

Binance's commitment to bolstering trust, confidence, and reliability in the blockchain ecosystem is evidenced by the industry-standard accreditations it has secured. In the past year, Binance received the ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications for information security governance and privacy information management in four jurisdictions - France, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Turkey. Earlier in March, Binance had also completed the SOC 2 Type I audit, a precursor to the recent audit.

Active efforts from Binance's Security Governance team have played a crucial role in obtaining these certifications and maintaining compliance in various other security domains. Future annual surveillance audits will ensure Binance's ongoing adherence to the standards and requirements set forth by these accreditations.
