BlockBeats News, October 27, Blockworks reported that Ethereum client developers confirmed on Thursday that the expected Dencun upgrade will not be implemented in a network hard fork before the end of 2023. Anonymous Prysm developer Potuz said during today’s core developer conference call that a mainnet fork in 2023 is unlikely. He pointed out that in the past few months, the 10 developer networks that have launched test upgrades have been experiencing consensus issues, and none of them are progressing smoothly.

Last month, with the Ethereum Holesky testnet launching later than planned, it was agreed that completing the Dencun upgrade before December was unlikely. Despite this, the market remains optimistic about the future of Ethereum, believing that the development team will overcome difficulties and bring more innovation to blockchain technology.
