A fortune teller in Thailand who accurately predicted when the cryptocurrency market would recover last year said they had received a warning from the “Grim Reaper.”
Investors always seem to find interesting and sometimes bizarre ways to predict market declines.
They claim the human subconscious can predict such problems through “prophetic dreams,” while some people have recently begun seeking advice from artificial intelligence chatbots.
However, in Thailand, a growing number of investors are using spiritual and astrological measures to predict market movements, including in the cryptocurrency market.
An astrologer named "Pimfah" is managing a tarot-themed Facebook group that has attracted 160,000 members.
Notably, many members of the group asked “Pimfah” to decode Tarot cards to better understand future movements in the cryptocurrency market.

Meanwhile, another self-proclaimed fortune teller, Ajarn Ton, has posted hundreds of videos on his YouTube channel using his method to predict the prices of various cryptocurrencies.
The channel currently has nearly 26,000 subscribers.
Recently, Ajarn Ton made a prediction for the cryptocurrency Terra Luna Classic (LUNC), suggesting that its price will surge by 50,000% to $0.029.
However, in reality, the price of LUNC has only fluctuated below $0.000055.

Sometimes, predictions may match reality.
At the beginning of 2023, the famous fortune teller Mor Plai attracted people's attention with his prediction post for August 2022.
He accurately predicted that the cryptocurrency market would begin to recover from the collapse of the FTX exchange in November 2022.
However, most commenters on Reddit tend to be skeptical of this prediction method.
"Made a bunch of vague predictions, only some of which matched in the end," one user Chia said.
"If hamsters can predict better than many adults, why not try astrology?" another joked.
More than half of Thais believe in spells and magic
In Thailand, where Buddhism tends to be the majority, spirituality always plays an important role.
More than 80 percent of Thais surveyed believe in God, gods or spirits, and more than half believe spells, curses or magic can influence their lives, according to a September report by the Pew Research Center.
Still, in some Western regions where spiritual beliefs are often not respected and popular, there are astrologers who use astrology to predict cryptocurrency price fluctuations.

Did astrology accurately predict the recent rise?
In 2021, when the cryptocurrency market was rising, Maren Altman, an American TikTok astrologer, attracted millions of followers by using astrology to predict Bitcoin prices.
In particular, Didi Taihuttu, a Bitcoin enthusiast from the Netherlands, sold all her assets in 2017 and lived entirely on Bitcoin.
He uses self-created market indicators based on lunar cycles and trading data to identify opportunities to buy and sell Bitcoin.
One user on the Reddit platform also promoted the idea that there is an indirect relationship between astrology and prices.
They believe that belief in astrology can influence trading decisions and cause them to "act accordingly," which can cause price fluctuations through self-fulfilling prophecies.
And just recently, astrologer “Crypto Damus” said in an article on October 18 that “in the coming days, Mars will form a favorable sextile for Bitcoin (together with Mercury cazimi)”, which is a positive sign because this person believes that this represents strength and the ability to drive the market upward.
Although Brother Ming is an atheist and a staunch materialist, it has to be said that astrology seems to have a high accuracy rate and is quite magical. It has successfully aroused Brother Ming's interest. If you understand it, we can communicate.
