🔥 This year, several high-profile SEC officials 🇺🇸 have left the SEC to move into private practice at firms that serve clients in the crypto space.
- Gurbir Grewal, former Director of Enforcement, is becoming a partner at Milbank Law, which is currently representing clients like Binance in its lawsuit against the SEC… a lawsuit that Grewal himself initiated.
- David Hirsch, former head of the SEC’s Cybersecurity and Crypto Assets Unit, has joined McGuire Woods LLP, a firm that advises on crypto and cybersecurity regulatory issues.
- Ladan Stewart, who worked on lawsuits against Coinbase and Ripple, has moved to White Case, where she now helps clients navigate SEC enforcement actions related to crypto and other issues.
Interestingly, SEC officials, whose job it is to attack the crypto industry, after leaving the SEC, work for crypto-focused companies 🤷♂️#cryptotrade #TRUMP #Harris
