Aksakov Calls for Hamster Kombat Ban on Telegram

Anatoly Aksakov, head of the Russian State Duma’s banking committee, has called for Hamster Kombat to be banned on Telegram, describing it as a potential scam. Aksakov criticized the money-making game, saying it manipulates players’ minds and targets those seeking to make quick money with minimal effort.

In a recent interview, Aksakov criticized Hamster Kombat’s tactics, likening them to fraudulent schemes. He noted that additional tasks in the game that promise increased earnings and faster progress are common features of fraud and confirmed that the State Duma will discuss the issue. “Such things must be stopped. In my opinion, this is a clear scam. Manipulation and exploitation of the psychology of citizens. Especially those who do not really want to work, but dream of being able to play with minimal effort and get rich,” Aksakov told local media.

Hamster Kombat, which launched on Telegram in March, is a clicker game that earns money using cryptocurrencies. It distributes virtual HMSTR tokens in-game as TON-based digital assets. However, market analyst Toghrul Aliyev warned that HMSTR tokens could face significant volatility if they start trading, as initial sell orders could cause the price to drop sharply.

Aksakova’s comments highlight growing concerns about the impact of such games on the financial well-being of the public. He noted that people are becoming more vulnerable to outside influences, leading to potentially harmful consequences.

While Russian lawmakers are preparing to address these concerns, the future of Hamster Kombat remains uncertain. If there is any link between the game and potential fraud, the government will be closely monitoring the matter and determining its impact on users.
