Porsche becomes Web3 gaming sponsor
On the 10th, Los Angeles-based entertainment studio Feature.io released a trailer for its Web3 multimedia racing game (Lollipop Racing).
It is built on the crypto asset (virtual currency) Polygon Network, and luxury car manufacturer Porsche is also involved as a sponsor. David Ayer, co-writer of the hit movie (Fast and Furious), is also serving as a writer and executive producer.
The series will feature Porsche’s high-performance race cars, such as the 911 GT3 RS and 911 GT3 R.

In addition to Porsche, two other as-yet-unannounced car brands and the motor oil brand Mobil 1 are also expected to participate in the race as sponsors.
The game is expected to be released in late 2024. Aisha Coker, Marketing Director at Porsche North America (PCNA), commented:
The combination of scripted series and interactive gaming experiences provides racing fans, gamers and other emerging demographics with an innovative and entertaining way to compete and experience the sport of motorsports.
In 2022, luxury car manufacturer Bentley Motors airdropped NFTs using Polygon.
Streaming and Gaming Content
According to Feature.io, (Lollipop Racing) is not just a video game but an "interactive media experience" that is expected to combine elements of streaming dramas, gaming, and professional sports.
It consists of 10 episodes of digitally recreated cities around the world and 10 racing events. Players can watch the episodes, participate in rewarding missions, and compete against other players in interactive racing games.
Players will join one of 15 teams to compete in 10 cities. Five of the 15 teams will be assigned two Porsche models to compete.
By watching the episodes, you can also discover clues integrated into the story to adjust your strategy and increase your chances of success in the next game.
Players can freely customize the Porsche used in the game to make it unique.
