English: Premier League clubs have generated $170 million in revenue from sponsorship deals with cryptocurrency companies and platforms for the 2024-25 season, according to a Bloomberg report. Crypto platforms have taken center stage amid the league’s tight restrictions on gambling sponsorship, which was previously a major source of revenue.

According to the report, several major clubs have struck major sponsorship deals with crypto companies. For example, leading crypto platform Kraken sponsors Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid, and RB Leipzig.
In June 2023, English Premier League champions Manchester City renewed their partnership with OKX for three years in a deal worth $70 million.
Crypto.com also plays a prominent role in the world of soccer. The company, which owns the naming rights to the Staple Center (home of the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers), announced in August that it would sponsor the UEFA Champions League through 2027.
The influx of crypto platforms is not limited to the biggest clubs in the major leagues only, but has extended to other clubs. Turkish club Galatasaray recently signed a two-season sponsorship deal with blockchain analytics company Arkham Intelligence, worth nearly $4 million, to put its logo on the sleeves of the team’s shirts.
