Chainlink Staking v0.2 is launching later this year.
Built upon the foundation set with the v0.1 release last December, v0.2 is the introduction of new staking platform:
▫️Unbonding Mechanism: Stakers are not locked in but rather can initiate a withdraw at any time.
▫️Liquid Rewards: Stakers can claim rewards, once they become claimable, at any time with no penalty.
▫️Stake Slashing: If an alert is raised, node operators will see a portion of their stake slashed, community stakers won’t be slashed in v0.2.
▫️Modular Architecture: New oracle services can be added to staking v0.2 over time without requiring a migration from stakers.
▫️Dynamic Rewards: New sources of rewards, like user fees, can be added over time, particularly as new oracle services are supported.
▫️Priority Migration: Existing v0.1 stakers will have a 7-day priority period at launch to migrate their v0.1 staked LINK and rewards to v0.2.
