African Bitcoin Ecosystem Surges by 67% in Just One Year! 🌍
A new report from African Bitcoiners reveals explosive growth in Bitcoin adoption across Africa! Over the past 18 months, Bitcoin projects on the continent have surged dramatically, showing how fast financial innovation is spreading.
Back in April 2023, the first edition of the African Bitcoin Ecosystem Infographic featured just 36 Bitcoin projects. Fast forward to October 2023, that number skyrocketed to 73 – a 102.78% increase. And now, 122 Bitcoin projects are spread across 19 countries, marking a 67% growth in the past year alone!
Sub-Saharan Africa continues to lead the charge, with East Africa experiencing the most growth. West Africa, spearheaded by Nigeria, is also on the rise, while South Africa has the largest number of projects, growing from 12 to 28.
