The RNDR rendering network consists of two main roles, creators and node providers.
Creator: 3D image creator who needs additional GPU computing power
Node provider: Users with idle GPU computing power
Creators who want to use OctaneRender for rendering must first go to the OTOY official website and subscribe or purchase an OctaneRender license. They can then export their scene document and upload it to the RNDR platform.
On RNDR, creators can set rendering parameters, select network nodes that suit their needs, and estimate rendering costs. In order to render, they must ensure their RNDR account has sufficient RNDR points or tokens. Once everything is ready, they can submit a render request and wait for the render to complete.
Once the rendering is complete, the author can check the results and, if satisfied, download or email the rendered image.
Users with idle GPUs can apply to join as node operators. Node providers register their GPUs to the RNDR network and rent them to creators who need additional computing power, thereby receiving rewards in RNDR tokens paid by the creators for leasing.
There are three layers of network nodes:
Level 1 - Trusted Partner Network: This level provides highly reliable and closed rendering nodes such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud A2. Currently, these nodes are only open to studios and not available to the public.
Level 2 - Priority Network: This level is more powerful than Level 3, has faster average speeds, and can handle larger and more complex rendering tasks.
Level 3 - Economical Network: This level provides the most economical rendering solution with the lowest fees, but requires longer processing times. It's suitable for scenarios where tasks don't need to be completed quickly.
RNDR points (exchanged for RNDR tokens):
