The Bank of England's quarterly inflation expectations survey showed inflation expectations for the next year fell to 2.7% in August from 2.8% in May, the lowest level since August 2021, according to a survey released by the Bank of England on Friday.
Expectations for the next 12 months remained unchanged at 2.6%, while expectations for the next five years rose to 3.2% from 3.1%, a nine-month high. The survey was conducted from August 2 to 6.
