Uniswap CEO Hayden Adams has denied claims that Uniswap charges money for deployments from decentralized finance protocols. Adams took to social media platform X on September 12 to clarify that neither Uniswap Labs nor the Uniswap Foundation charge fees for protocol deployments.

He explained that protocol deployments occur through governance votes, and that deployment requirements for a new chain for the Uniswap interface are based on the activity and effort required per chain.

This comes after X user @wagmialexander claimed that Uniswap charged $20 million for an ineffective deployment.
