Flare Network will destroy 2.1 billion FLR, accounting for more than 2% of the total supply

According to TechFlow, CoinDesk reported that Layer1 blockchain Flare Network will destroy 2.1 billion FLR tokens (accounting for more than 2% of the total supply of FLR) to support the development and overall health of its ecosystem.

Approximately 198 million FLR will be destroyed immediately, and an additional 66 million FLR will be destroyed monthly until January 2026.

Some of the tokens that Flare Network plans to destroy have been allocated to early Flare supporters and will no longer be distributed.
