Here comes the inventor of Ripple (XRP)
In 2012, Jed McCaleb, founder of Ripple Labs, Inc created the XRP token. However, in 2014, Jed left Ripple and founded Stellar (XML). Currently, the executive position on Ripple's board of directors is held by Chris Larsen.
Initially, the XRP token was called Opencoin and was renamed Ripple in 2015.
