Samsung Electronics will launch a smart TV that can trade and display NFTs in the first half of next year, and plans to build in NFT applications from three companies, including the U.S. NFT Gateway, France's La Collection, and South Korea's Art Token. Samsung Electronics is also studying the use of virtual assets (cryptocurrency) and other methods as a means of payment.

As previously reported, in January this year, Samsung stated that it will provide an "NFT aggregation platform" on its smart TV models such as MicroLed, Neo QLED and The Frame in 2022, allowing users to browse and purchase NFTs directly. The platform introduces NFTs from multiple markets, so users can preview artworks and view other relevant details, such as the creator of the work and related blockchain metadata. Users who already own NFTs can also use the platform to showcase their collections. (Korea Economic Daily)
