Web3 is developing at an accelerated pace, and Arweave as an infrastructure will be adopted by more developers to create a new and more colorful ecosystem. PermaDAO is a co-builder community established for this purpose. All participants can find their own roles here to contribute to the Arweave ecosystem. Any proposals and tasks about Arweave can be published here and receive support and feedback from the entire community. Join PermaDAO and build Web3!

Thank you all for coming. It's great to be in Singapore again and see new faces, but also many familiar faces. So, it's great to be a part of Arweave Day in Asia in 2023. Let's applaud everyone who is here.
It’s been a year since we last met at the Old Capitol, and a lot has happened since then, so let’s do a little recap.
The Arweave ecosystem really started to come alive with the first event in Singapore last year. Since then, we've had events in Lisbon, Denver, Berlin, and last week we had Arweave Day in Warsaw. We've had a lot of events in an amazing way, and we're constantly growing the ecosystem.
We also announced the launch of Forward Research at the Singapore conference a year ago. Here is an introduction to Foward Research for those who are not familiar with it. Forward Research is similar to the promotion agency behind the Arweave ecosystem. The founder of Arweave is also involved in it, and we work together to promote the development of projects within the ecosystem.
Forward Research incubated projects like Stamp Protocol, which we're going to hear from Tom about in a minute. We also incubated Permafacts, which is kind of like a marketplace for authenticity that you can attach to any claim that you make, which is really interesting. We also incubated Alex., which allows you to create pools of archived history, in a way that's perpetuated and really useful and interesting. And then there's Fair Protocol, which is really the top project when it comes to Large Language Models (LLMs). Fair Protocol is a marketplace for decentralized and open source Large Language Models in a very simple way. And then there's DataOS, which is not just a block explorer, but it gives you a better understanding of what's actually stored on Arweave. We also have a bunch of deals that we'll talk about in a little bit.
We’ve made a lot of progress since last year, and we’re excited to announce the release of our Universal Data License (UDL) and Universal Content Marketplace (UCM).
The Universal Data License allows users to attach their own specific licensing system to any data they store on Arweave. Users can define it themselves: Do I want this data to have a commercial license or non-commercial use? If I want a commercial license, do I have to attach royalties or a one-time upfront fee? And then, how do I deal with these fees? How do I actually get liquidity?
To that end, we have the Universal Content Marketplace Protocol, whose first client application Tom will also talk about in a moment: BazAR. This really opens up a lot of potential for Arweave. We think this allows users to store any type of information on Arweave and actually get incentivized to then display it in the interface of other clients. This is really powerful, especially when it comes to AI applications.
Here’s another fact: In July of this year, Arweave broke 1 billion transactions. That was a big moment. A big thank you to everyone who made this possible. Today, we’ll hear from amazing creators, outstanding contributors, and ecosystem members. We’ll kick off today with a talk from DMAC.
