Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) has seen more large transactions since March, according to on-chain analysis firm Santiment. Santiment stated in a post that WBTC whales' transfers of over $1 million have reached their highest level since March. WBTC also saw the largest network growth since July and an increase in new wallets holding 1-1,000 WBTC.
The firm noted that similar on-chain changes preceded the March and June rallies this year. The data appears to indicate elevated whale accumulation and interest in the Bitcoin proxy ahead of a potential crypto market rally.
Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) has experienced notable trading activity over various periods. On July 1, 2023, WBTC's trading volume rose above 7,000, marking the second significant increase in just under two months. On August 2, 2023, two large transfers of 2,000 WBTC affected the WBTC supply on the exchanges.
