Golden Finance reports that the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) has provided guidance to exchanges and cryptocurrency issuers on what it calls interim measures for value-referenced cryptoassets, with a particular focus on stablecoins. The statement clarified that trading in certain cryptocurrencies that reference a single fiat currency value may be allowed, subject to terms and conditions. If the issuer maintains an appropriate reserve of assets with a qualified custodian and the cryptocurrency exchange offering the stablecoin discloses "certain information related to governance, operations, and reserve of assets," then the CSA can allow these assets to be traded.
