The Shiba Inu (SHIB) community is on high alert after the SHIB Telegram admin account was compromised, leading to a fraudulent BONE token airdrop announcement. Twitter user Vet Kusama warned the community about the fake token distribution and urged people not to click on related links.
The Shiba Inu community has faced consistent threats from scammers impersonating legitimate projects and figures. Recently, Shibarmy Scam Alerts warned users to be cautious when connecting their crypto wallets to unknown decentralized applications, as scammers can create Dapps that look identical to the original ones related to SHIB, Bone ShibaSwap (BONE), Doge Killer (LEASH), and other memecoins.
Shibarium's Marketing Strategist, LUCIE, also advised users to conduct proper due diligence before entering SHIB's ecosystem due to wrongdoers using the memecoin's logo or Shibarium's name in their projects.
