Ethereum Layer 2 developer StarkWare has decided to move the initial unlock of its native StarkNet token (STRK) from November 29, 2023 to April 15, 2024. The change underscores the company's focus on its technology roadmap. 🗺️

Launched in November 2022, the STRK token runs on the Ethereum blockchain and has a total supply of 10 billion. The tokens' main functions include processing transaction fees, network governance, and staking within StarkNet. 🌐

In May 2022, StarkWare reached an impressive $8 billion valuation, backed by a successful $100 million Series D funding round. It is important to note that various cryptocurrency projects such as Sorare and Immutable have integrated StarkWare's innovative technologies. 🚀

The bankruptcy of Three Arrows Capital, a major player in the cryptocurrency hedge fund space, has led to some difficulties for StarkWare. Due to Three Arrows Capital's financial decline, Teneo assumed control of StarkWare tokens in December. This transition and StarkWare's decision to delay the unlocking of the STRK token could pose challenges to Teneo's asset recovery efforts.
