🚀 Osmosis, the largest DEX on Cosmos, is bringing Bitcoin (BTC) to the IBC protocol along with Nomic and Kujira.

- Starting October 3rd, users can transfer BTC to the Cosmos network via Osmosis' Nomic bridge by paying 1.5% of the transaction amount.

- In return they receive Nomic Bitcoin (nBTC) - an IBC compatible token issued by Nomic Chain, in a 1:1 ratio.

- nBTC can be bought, sold and used for liquidity on Osmosis as well as over 50 Cosmos-related apps.

⏰ The nBTC Interchain update is scheduled for October 27, activation is expected on October 30.

- During the initial launch period of nBTC there will be a hard limit of 21 BTC for the cross-chain bridge.
