Whoa whoa! On October 2, nine Ethereum futures ETFs made their debut! Five of them focus exclusively on tracking $ETH futures contracts, while the other four are hybrids of $BTC and $ETH futures contracts.
In terms of first-day trading volume, these $ETH futures ETFs combined were less than $2 million, with the largest Proshares Ether Strategy ETF trading volume at $878,560. Compared to the first-day trading volume of the first Bitcoin futures ETF, which exceeded $1 billion, the first-day performance of these $ETH futures ETFs seems to be somewhat overshadowed.
But don’t worry, Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas said that the trading volume of these $ETH futures ETFs is actually “considerable” compared to ETF launches in the traditional financial sector!
