According to The Block, Rostin Behnam, chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), emphasized the need to regulate the field of decentralized finance (DeFi) in a speech, likening the situation to that of unlicensed doctors.

CFTC Enforcement Director Ian Mc Ginley said in September, “The existence of unregulated DeFi trading platforms clearly threatens the markets and customers regulated and protected by the CFTC, and this is an issue we take very seriously.”

As previously reported, the US CFTC announced recent enforcement actions in the DeFi field on September 8, charging Opyn, ZeroEx and Deridex and reaching a settlement agreement.
