On December 17, Wei Chenyang, deputy director of Tsinghua University's Financial Technology Research Institute, said at the 4th Shanghai International Financial Technology Forum that four core technologies, including data technology, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and blockchain, are driving the development of financial technology and the digitalization and transformation of other traditional industries. Regarding blockchain technology, Wei Chenyang said that on the one hand, blockchain is essentially inseparable from data processing and encryption technology, and its own characteristics, application scenarios and potential are recognized by all parties; on the other hand, blockchain also faces some technical bottlenecks and the problem of how to define supervision.
