According to ChainCatcher, ReversingLabs security researchers have detected malicious packages targeting the popular Python Bitcoin wallet library bitcoinlib using machine learning techniques. These packages disguised themselves as solutions to Bitcoin transfer errors, aiming to steal sensitive database files.
These malicious programmers participated in discussions on GitHub but were uncovered by other developers. Currently, these two packages have been removed and no longer pose a risk to developers.
