The report stated that the police had identified cryptocurrency transfers related to the platform and would seek help from Interpol.
JPEX once established a company in Australia and voluntarily deregistered it this week
In addition to the above information, the police also discovered that a company registered in Australia as "JP-EX Crypto Asset Platform Pty Ltd" applied to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission for voluntary deregistration on Tuesday.
The company had assets of less than 1,000 Australian dollars (approximately US$647) when it was registered in 2020. It was registered by the 28-year-old former director Cheung Sze-ki (Hong Kong), but the current director has changed to 32-year-old Chen Jieyi (China people).
Although it is impossible to be 100% certain about the relationship between this company and Hong Kong JPEX, the time of deregistration, name and services provided are all deeply related.
