Tether’s official Twitter account announced on December 13 that the company will work with Binance to conduct the USDT Exchange.
The firm will work with Binance to perform a chain switch, converting Tron to Ethereum ERC20, for 3 billion USDT. The total supply of #tether will not change during this operation.
This procedure enables traders to gain access to the different blockchains that support the cryptocurrency they are holding, allowing them to utilize their digital assets on these other supporting blockchains.
For example, because Tether (USDt) is on the Omni, Ethereum, Tron, EOSIO, and Liquid blockchains, users can use their USDT holdings to gain access to any of these five blockchains. A trader can “switch” the blockchain on which their USDt is now functioning for another supporting blockchain.
In few minutes Tether will coordinate with Binance to perform a chain swap, converting from Tron to Ethereum ERC20, for 3B USDt. The #tether total supply will not change during this process.Learn more about chain swaps https://t.co/abfgnELSvi
