French brand Givenchy Beauty transforms its virtual venue in Roblox into a “Winter Wonderland” to promote beauty products from its holiday collection. 

Roblox-based Givenchy Beauty House launched in June. The metaverse location praises the brand’s heritage, featuring a castle, a metro station, a pool, and other interactive areas. For the winter season, Givenchy turned the pool into an ice skating rink and added a chic chalet and an igloo to its immersive beauty venue. 

The location invites players to create cheery make-up looks for their avatars using one of the products from the 2022 Holiday Collection. It features five festive make-up products, including the multi-finish eyeshadow palette “Le 9.08 Givenchy.”

In addition to the holiday experiences, Roblox users have a chance to win silver padded earmuffs. Players must complete the 4G treasure hunt to participate in the competition.

Givenchy Beauty is among the first beauty houses to develop a metaverse experience. In April this year, Charlotte Tilbury promoted its “Pillow Talk” make-up collection in a beauty “Wonderland.” The virtual world featured 3D makeup products, tutorials, and a 3D volumetric avatar of Charlotte Tilbury herself. 

In September, Sephora hosted its second annual metaverse event dubbed SEPHORiA. The event’s gaming activities and exclusive beauty content attracted approximately 16,000 participants.
