According to TechFlow, former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried may face scrutiny from prosecutors in a trial starting next month over FTX’s bankruptcy and Super Bowl ads. Lawyers on both sides are arguing over what evidence can be used in next month’s trial. The U.S. Department of Justice stated in a document that Bankman-Fried hopes to “exclude any evidence regarding the bankruptcy of FTX and Alameda and the defendant’s resignation as CEO of FTX.”

SBF's lawyers also rejected prosecutors' request to admit certain FTX advertising videos starring celebrities such as Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen and Larry David. SBF's lawyers said the evidence would confuse the jury, while prosecutors argued that "the actual advertising materials and public statements authorized by the defendants similarly failed to make such a distinction: the ads featured celebrities, described 'FTX' as 'a secure and easy way to enter cryptocurrency', and showed customers using devices with the FTX logo instead of the FTX.US logo".
