[Mastercard will end crypto card projects with Binance in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Bahrain] Golden Finance reported that Reuters reported that a Mastercard spokesperson stated via email that Mastercard and the cryptocurrency exchange Coin Binance will end its four crypto card projects in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Bahrain on September 22. The Binance Card allows users to pay in traditional currencies, funded by the cryptocurrencies they hold on the exchange. Mastercard’s website also lists partnerships with cryptocurrency exchanges including Gemini. The spokesperson said the decision will not affect any of Mastercard’s other crypto card programs. Binance did not respond to a request for comment, and the exchange’s customer support account on Platform X (formerly known as Twitter) earlier said the Binance Card “will no longer be available to users in Latin America and the Middle East.”
