Developers of the #Canto blockchain, initially built using #Cosmos #SDK and Tendermint #EVM-compatible core with a focus on DeFi, have decided to transform it into an Ethereum-based #Layer2 solution based on Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP). This network will specialize in supporting RWA (Real World Assets) in the context of the "next wave of non-financial application layer adoption."

The development team will leverage the Polygon Chain Development Kit (Polygon CDK), which will enable Canto to provide ZKL2 (ZK Layer 2), while preserving the key principles that define the Ethereum community, such as unlimited sovereignty, security, and liquidity, seen as a public good.

This move will allow Canto to more effectively integrate into the Ethereum ecosystem and offer users new opportunities in the field of decentralized finance and application layer applications.
