Not an airdrop. Not staking. Not trading.
Binance is paying commissions directly to people who create content on Binance Square -- and this mechanism has been quietly running while most users are still just scrolling their feed every day, completely unaware they could be earning from the very content they read and share.
Here’s everything you need to know about Write To Earn -- how it works, how to sign up, and how to actually maximize your earnings.
How does Write To Earn actually work?
This is the part most people get completely wrong.
Write To Earn is not about earning money from views, likes, or comments. There’s no system where you post something, count the hearts, and convert them into cash.
Here’s how it actually works:
When you publish a post containing a cashtag (for example:
$BTC ,
$ETH ,
$BNB ) or a coin price widget, a reader sees your post, clicks on that cashtag, and completes a trade on Binance -- you receive a share of their trading fee.
In simpler terms: you write a post, your reader gets convinced and places an order, Binance shares a portion of that trading fee with you. This is a commission model -- not unlike affiliate marketing, but built directly into the content you create.
How much can you actually earn?
The official commission structure from Binance:
Every eligible creator receives a 20% base commission from their readers’ trading fees.
At the end of each week, Binance ranks all creators based on total base commission earned:
• Top 1–30 of the week: additional 30% bonus → 50% total commission
• Top 31–100 of the week: additional 10% bonus → 30% total commission
•!All other eligible creators: 20% base commission
Commissions are paid in USDC to your Funding Account every Thursday. The minimum payout threshold is 0.1 USDC per week -- if you don’t reach this threshold, your balance resets to zero at the end of that week.
Which trades count toward your commission?
Not every trade qualifies. Binance only counts commissions from:
✅ Spot trades
✅ Margin trades
✅ Futures trades (copy trading excluded)
✅ Convert trades (Instant orders only)
And several cases that do not count:
❌ Your own trades — you cannot click your own cashtags to earn commissions
❌ Users who signed up through your referral code
❌ API trades and market maker trades
❌ Stablecoin to stablecoin trades
❌ Posts older than 7 days — commissions are only generated within the first 7 days after a post is published

How to maximize your Write To Earn income
After nearly 2 years on Binance Square, here’s what I’ve learned:
Use cashtags with intention, not randomly. Don’t just stuff
$BTC $ETH $BNB at the end of every post for the sake of it. Attach cashtags directly within the context you’re analyzing -- when readers feel the connection is genuine, they’re far more likely to click and actually trade.
Post when the market is moving. This is when readers are most engaged and most likely to place orders. A well-timed analysis post during high volatility can generate 5-10x more commission than a post on a quiet day.
Post consistently every single day. Binance Square’s algorithm favors creators who stay active. Consistency beats virality -- one solid post every day will outperform one exceptional post every week.
Focus on quality to climb the weekly rankings. Remember that the top 30 creators of the week earn up to 50% commission -- nearly double the base rate. That’s a significant income gap, and it comes entirely from content quality.
Important reminder: If your post is participating in a CreatorPad campaign, rewards will be calculated from CreatorPad -- not Write To Earn. The two programs are independent and cannot be combined.
Is Write To Earn actually worth it?
The answer depends on one thing only: are you willing to create content that genuinely adds value?
If you’re just copy-pasting news headlines and hoping readers will click -- the results will be deeply disappointing.
But if you write content that people actually want to read, genuinely learn something from, and feel confident enough to act on -- Write To Earn becomes an incredibly compelling passive income stream. A strong post can continue generating commissions for the full 7 days after publishing without you doing anything more.
That’s exactly what I’ve been doing. And that’s why I’m still here after nearly 2 years.
