Story: That Night, No One Moved
It was an ordinary night.
In Queens, New York, a young woman named Kitty Genovese was returning home from work.
The time was 3 a.m. on March 13, 1964.
She parked her car and began walking toward her apartment building.
The street was silent.
Suddenly, a man rushed out from the shadowsโarmed with a knife.
Kitty screamed desperately:
โHelp me! Heโs going to kill me!โ
Windows lit up.
A few people peeked out, watching from a distance.
Some heard the cries, some even saw the attack.
