Anime wallpapers turning into hacker traps? Attention Steam players!

Kaspersky's latest report reveals that dozens of dynamic wallpapers disguised as anime beauties on Steam Workshop are actually malware 🚨

These wallpapers exploit the Wallpaper Engine app functionality to secretly install info-stealers like Lumma and Vidar in the background, pilfering Steam accounts, sessions, and cryptocurrency wallet info. Some even display a seemingly normal mini-game to throw you off the scent 😏
