#TopCoinsDecember2024 The City of Niterói (PMN) has entered into a partnership with the Computer Institute of the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) and Cartesi to develop a project that integrates the #blockchain​ technology with the #sistema mobility information system in the city. The goal is to modernize the verification and validation of public transportation service contracts, offering greater transparency, verifiability, and agility to the process.¹

The project will be developed in 12 months and will integrate Blockchain technology directly with the #MobNit ,#sistema that stores and makes available Niterói's transportation data. With this integration, important information about the provision of public transportation services and contracts will be recorded on the Blockchain, making them immutable and traceable.

In addition, a MobNit system application will be developed to facilitate access to this information for passengers, including bus schedules and routes. The application will also have a complaints and suggestions registration system that will use #blockchain, allowing users to report problems with vehicles anonymously or with identification.
