If there’s something I’ve learned after so many years working with business and technology processes, it’s that a good solution isn’t always a guarantee that it will ultimately be adopted or used.
In the case of financial institutions, they normally don’t change their critical infrastructure just because a more innovative technology exists. The best example of this is Mainframe, which is still the centralized core banking system most widely used and trusted by the majority of financial institutions around the world; in my view and experience, I believe Mainframe will continue to be a key piece for many more years in the traditional financial sector.
That’s why I think the real challenge of
@Dusk 🌒 is getting the market to trust it enough to use it, the way it does with Mainframe—and that trust isn’t built overnight. However, if
$DUSK manages to reach that point, its value as infrastructure for regulated financial markets will be much more interesting than any narrative surrounding a blockchain.
