#Alphabet buys
#Intersect Power for $4.75 billion — to provide energy for AI
The parent company of Google — Alphabet — has agreed to acquire the data center and green energy developer Intersect Power for $4.75 billion along with the company's debts.
🔹 The goal is to provide future data centers with their own energy and not rely on overloaded utility networks that cannot keep up with demand from AI.
🔹 Alphabet already had a stake in Intersect, now it is taking the company completely along with its future projects.
🔹 The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2026.
🔹 Data centers next to wind, solar, and battery stations will start operating in late 2026 — and will almost entirely serve Alphabet's needs.

#Google is building its own energy infrastructure for AI to scale faster than competitors and avoid the limitations of power grids ⚡🤖
