From $3 to $1,000: My 9-month process before reaching Futures 🇻🇪
I just want to share my experience. I have been studying every day for 9 months, researching and reading everything related to this world. During all this time, I dedicated myself exclusively to Hold (buy and hold), and today I finally made the decision to enter Futures.
Maybe for some it's not much, but what I have achieved is much more than I would earn in a conventional job here in Venezuela. My process was slow:
The beginning: I started holding with just $3 or $5 in coins like ALPHA. It's a volatile market, but ideal for understanding how percentages work when you have little capital.
The scale: When I understood how prices moved, I started increasing my purchases to $10, $15, $20... When I reached $50, the jump to $100 was quick because I already understood the dynamics.
The lesson of $1,000: With more capital, I got confident. I put $1,000 into a token, and in the blink of an eye, I lost $300. It was hard to digest. Although the coin recovered and I managed to exit with a $30 profit, I understood that the detail is not how much you want to earn, but how much you are willing to lose. Did anyone else feel that nerves got the better of them at the beginning?
I learned that trading is about patterns and, above all, psychology. Sometimes out of greed, we don't close a profit of $30 or $40, which at the end of the month adds up to an excellent amount.
Today, with a lot of patience, I already manage a capital of $1,000 and just today I begin my adventure in Futures. Step by step, with discipline, everything falls into place.
Now that I take this leap into Futures, I know that risk management is the most important thing. What advice would you give to someone coming from Hold and wanting to protect their capital on this new path? I read you in the comments. 👇
