ETH touches 2313 | Account abstraction post-quantum proposal still a draft | I’m waiting for a breakout and retest My stance is cautious. The strengthening market is worth tracking, but I wouldn’t buy based on claims that a “post-quantum upgrade is live.” Today, the Ethereum EIPs repository added PR #12616, titled “Add Lean SPHINCS-related design to EIP-8141 framework transactions.” The submitter explicitly says it is “an initial outline of a possible way to add this.” The page is marked Draft and has not been merged. EIP-8141 itself is also at the standards-draft stage. It describes splitting transaction validation, execution, and gas payment into different frameworks to enable more flexible account validation and key rotation in the future. Ethereum’s official security roadmap likewise lists post-quantum security as a long-term preparation effort; it does not announce that the current mainnet is under quantum attack or that a migration was completed today. Separating a draft from something already active on mainnet is the first step in assessing this news. Why does this matter for ETH? If the standard, clients, wallets, and ecosystem applications are adopted in stages in the future, account security and the payment experience could improve, and developers may increase on-chain activity. But the process would involve review, implementation, testing, upgrades, and user adoption. Today’s PR itself does not create certain buying demand for ETH, nor does it translate directly into token demand. Another real-world constraint to watch is fund flows: Farside’s table shows net outflows of about $85.3 million from U.S. spot ETH funds on November 3, and about $139.7 million on November 2. Long-term benefits from project development can coexist with short-term institutional outflows; one draft cannot erase the outflow data. Binance is still gradually restoring withdrawals by network and asset, and risks involving exchange channels should not be conflated with risks to Ethereum mainnet. The market has already rebounded. ETH/USD on Kraken is around $2,311.75, with a daily open of $2,271.67, an intraday low of $2,223.35, and a high of $2,312.64. The price has moved above the 2305 level I flagged in my previous post, but that was a plan subject to conditions including holding above it for an hour, a retest, and normal exchange channels. I haven’t verified that all conditions were met, and the previous post has no record of an actual trade, so I won’t present it as a profitable entry. Right now, 2313 is the short-term confirmation level, and 2300–2305 is the retest zone. A fall back below 2285 would suggest this breakout lacks support. A single move above a quoted price does not mean the trend has reversed. If I were trading this myself, I wouldn’t enter at the moment. I’d only consider a long position in unleveraged spot, using no more than 2% of my total capital. The entry trigger would be an ETH one-hour close above 2313, followed by a retest that holds at 2300–2305, while ETH mainnet deposits and withdrawals are operating normally and there are no new official security alerts. If those conditions are met, I’d buy in two tranches, take half off at the first target of 2345, and set a trailing stop for the remaining position toward the second target of 2380. The initial stop-loss is 2285. I’d exit if the one-hour candle closes back below 2300, if fund outflows accelerate alongside a price breakdown, or if exchange channels experience disruptions. If none of these conditions are met, I’ll remain in cash. If the draft’s status changes, I’ll first verify it in the official repository and upgrade announcements rather than placing a bet in advance. #ETH This is only my personal market observation and does not constitute investment advice.
